About the Position
Gateway Developmental Learning Center is a nationally accredited program serving children ages 6 weeks through 12 years, including children with special needs.
We are seeking a dedicated Infant & Toddler Teacher to work in a continuity of care classroom, supporting children as they grow and develop over time. This approach allows teachers to build strong, consistent relationships with children and families while supporting each child’s individual developmental journey.
This is a full-time position working with children ages approximately 6 weeks to 3 years.
What You’ll Do
As an Infant & Toddler Teacher, you will:
- Create a safe, clean, and nurturing environment
- Build strong, responsive relationships with children and families
- Support children’s emotional, social, and developmental needs
- Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and daily routines
- Observe and respond to each child’s individual growth and milestones
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a consistent, high-quality classroom

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- CDA or degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field) preferred
- Experience working with infants and toddlers preferred
- Must maintain CPR & First Aid certification
- Must pass:
- Drug screening
- FBI fingerprint background check
- TB test

- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities
- Support all areas of development: physical, cognitive, social-emotional, and language
- Communicate effectively with families and staff
- Follow all licensing, Paths to Quality, and NAEYC standards
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 60 lbs
- Sit, kneel, and interact at a child’s level
- Frequent movement and active engagement
- Strong communication and organizational skills
